A large gen-set is prepared for the movement (1)
The transport of heavy and large machinery is an interesting topic for modelers.
In my case it is a large gen-set that has to be moved from the manufacurer to the customer.
I invested some hours to add some detail to the gen-set and to install the fixations to keep the sensitive charge in place.

I used large wood blocks to keep the gen-set on the transport plattform.
To avoid tilting of the gen-set it is hold in position by three tie rods on each side.
The craftsman fixes the last bolts on the top of the gen-set.
The size of the man gives a feeling for the dimension of the load.
Adding some piping, some steps and a few cables gives the brute machine a more realistic look.
I covered all pipe- and duct-connections of the gen-set with sheet material (protection for the transport)
Heavy road transport (1)
The gen-set is loaded on the heavy duty transporter.
It is a cast metal model.
The pulling truck is a ballasted heavy duty Diamond truck introduced the 950 model in 1952
I made some modifications at the truck.

With little work on a commertial model you can improve the overall impression - the model becomes more realistic.
